Question by live2figure_sk8: What weight loss aid should I use?
Hello everyone,
I am a competitive figure skater. I am 16 years old, and I’m between 5′ 4 1/2″ and 5’5″. My weigh literally fluctuates from day to day, but on average, it’ll probably be somewhere between 132 and 135. I would really like to lose weight; ideally, I’d love to be about 110 or 115 or so. I’ve been off the ice for 6 months because I had surgery, so I gained a lot of weight. I’ve always struggled with my weight, so I’m having a really hard time losing this weight.
So, I was thinking about some weight loss aid, to supplement my diet and exercise regime. I’m not sure what to use, though. I want to lose as little muscle as possible. I was thinking about the weight loss pill called Avesil. Or, maybe I could use a weight loss patch. What is your opinion? Should I go with pills or patches? And what brand/type would you recommend? Please, no rude or demeaning comments. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

You are 16. You don’t need and pills or potions. I understand the pressure to be thin as a skater, my cousin skated for years and still works out like a fiend.
Try to eat better and get back to your routine. This will be the best way to do it. You could try P90x. People have lots of great things to say about the program. This will probably even help with your skating.
A great book I also recommend to people is Tim Ferris’ 4-Hour Body. He has tried lots of cutting edge stuff that works great. Get a copy and learn about what worked for him. This is not a the usual don’t eat this or that book.
Good luck.
