Where in the United States in a great vacation place to go to that is:
1) Cheap
2) Fun for the whole family

andd i dont think you cant regret going to disneyworld/disneyland
Camping in your backyard is probably your best bet. There’s no vacation a whole family can go to without SOMEBODY bitchin’ about something the entire time. Good luck.
