Question by Scorpius59: Tattoo removal ? or can they tattoo your same skin color over the old tattoo ?
I don’t have any, but people go through different procedures, and it occurs to me tattoos can be in color, so why not color OVER with flesh tones, instead of harsh removal, or cover-up with something even bigger and darker ?

They DO cover it up with something bigger and darker sometimes, but why would they color over a tattoo with flesh tones? it would never look right, it’d look like you got a flesh tone-y tattoo.

Because you can’t just cover something dark with something lighter.
It’s like coloring over a sharpie mark with a white crayon, it just doesn’t work.
Tattoos can be removed by laser surgery and it will take up to years to remove it depending on where you get the surgery at. It is an over an over burning the last scalp of skin until you tattoo is no longer there. It will leave you a scar at the end that probably looked worst than the tattoo that you had, but again, depends who does the surgery.
Tattoos can’t not be covered with skin color since the skin won’t take any color that are similar or lighter than the skin normal color. Exceptions: skin will take yellow, pink, white and other really light colors on light skin colors but they will fade with the time unless are re-touched later on. To cover a tattoo you will have to use another color darker and probably a tattoo that will hide the old lines and end up with a bigger tattoo.
If any other questions on tattoo you can search it on Google or Wikipedia. I hope this helps.
the only way you can remove the pigment from the skin is lazers, and it hurts like hell.
You can’t cover something lighter with something darker. It’s like wearing black undies with white shorts. Doesn’t work.
because if you tattoo a “flesh” color, eventually the rest of your body will tan, revealing a big flesh-colored blob where your colored tattoo used to be. Plus, it’s natural for skin tones to change slightly and periodically throughout the course of one’s life.
Tattoo removal is getting really affordable and with the new laser technology tattoo removal has become relatively painless. For more information on procedures and cost – I recommend checking out http://www.drtattoff.com
Laser seems to be the way to go and like another person has stated, there are new lasers and techniques that remove them better without scarring. I just spoke to someone at a monarch medspa and they are using a new type of laser to remove tattoos. They have a web site, http://www.monarchmedspa.com They have a few before and after pics that look pretty impressive. I am going to check them out this month since they are currently offering 40% off their 6 treatment package. (about $ 130 per treatment)
Yes you can actualy it just takes awhole lot of tattoo’s of the same skin color over it each time it just gets a bit lighter till eventualy it matches your skin tone. There is someone in my unit that had to do this to get into the army
