Question by newworld124: Do fat burners or other weight lost products make me fail Meps drug test?
I have lost 25 pounds with exercise and diet. But I am kind of stuck and need to lose about 13 more pounds before my test. Can I take weight lost pills like hydroxycut or energyboliser? They contained efedra and other stimulants. I have not taken anything so far because I am worried they might show in the test and get disqualified. My recruiter has no idea if they are OK to take. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Stay away from stimulants. I am an athlete who knows this one. In the long run, they do not help you lose weight. Good luck.

My son took the pills and stopped taking them before Basic and AIT, you can;t take them with you or during basica and AIT, so I guess they did not show up at MEPS. He also dranl water instead of soda when eatign out and had potatoes instead of fries or some other substitute that was healthy. he ate chicken instead of a hambagur sandwich.
Protein drinks are great, you drink the protein drink instead of the meat as a substitute and you will feel hungrey to, but the calorie for meat is 300 and the protein drink is usually 150. You need to exercise as well, if your not, runnign in the gym on the treadmill or outside (to get use ot runnign in the cold) .
NO WEIGHT GAINERS.

Energybolizer is all natural and won’t make your come up with a positive on a drug test.
However, the old formula hydroxycut that contains Ephedra will make you come up positive for Methamphetamine’s.
I would suggest cessation of all weight loss supplements no less than 10 days before your drug test. It’s safer.

If you’re stuck at a diet try reducing your caloric intake and increasing your energy expenditure, this means eating slightly less and working harder.
Drop simple carbs from your diet suchs as sugars, soda, candy, white breads, white rice, etc.
Increase your protein intake slightly by adding a protein supplement if you don’t already have one, I would suggest optimum nutrition gold or classic. Stay away from all saturated fats and supplement burgers, red meats, ham, etc with chicken tenderloin or chicken breast, fish especially tuna and salmon.
Eat more veggies and eat more often, no 3 full meals a day, try 5 small meals or even 6.
Stay well hydrated, this will help you burn fat more efficiently and it will keep you from wanting to eat more than you should.

I know some stuff at GNC shows up. Hydroxycut won’t though. The ones that will usually say it on the back of the bottle.

Take Lipo 6x, it’s way better then hydroxycut, and it won’t show up on drug test.
