Question by ChEeRy: no processed foods for a week?
i am 16 and making a goal to eat NO processed foods for a week. i will eat all natural/organic such as peanut butter and things like canned refried beans that have all readable ingredients. this is for 2 reasons, weight loss and i am vegetarian/aspiring vegan and i learned new words such as mono- di-glycerides that are on every container i see.
doing a week to prove to mom i can do it. and i cant afford fresh veggies so ill be buying frozen. im not big on canned anyway.

Good for you. eat fresh foods, canned foods do not have as much nutrients as fresh. Only a week? Go for a longer goal. And Good luck to you.

Sounds like a great idea…and a short term goal is good to start out with, although make it about proving it to yourself. If your mom is impressed after you have met your goal, then that is just icing on the cake. Perhaps you will like how you start feeling and choose to make another short term goal, like two weeks maybe?

I’ll be cheering for you. Good luck. :-)

Anything that has been canned has been processed. Peanut butter is processed as well.

Good for you!
I’m dong it too, trying to go as long as possible.
Frozen isn’t bad; it’s often snap frozen locking in nutrients.
