Question by cannonkidz5: How much and where can I go for tattoo removal?
I have never been comfortable having tattoos, especially at the age I am. I live right around Chicago and would like information on where I can go to get 2 very small tattoos removed, and about how much it would cost. They are about 2 inches big and just made with black ink on back/shoulder blades. Can you please help me with some general information on tattoo removal along with an estimated cost and location? I would really appreciate it :) Thank You!

you can actually get this cream called wrecking balm

its cheaper than any laser removal place i know of, and my boyfriend tried it on his forearm because he regretted it and needed a job so he tried this stuff and it looks like it was never there to begin with. it works waayy better with dark colors like blacks and blues.

I have 2 small tattoos, solid black, measuring 1′ x 3′ each on the back of both upper arms. I’ve had 4 laser done and it’s only slightly faded. The laser cost me $ 185 each treatment for both tattoos…I figure it’s going to take at least 5 more treatments so I’ve decided to go with excision.

I had my consultation today and the surgeon told me it’s going to be $ 2,100 plus tax for a 2 stage excision. If I remove everything in 1 stage, the scar will be much larger….so there it is…

The thing with laser removal is after each treatment, you get huge blisters, chance of infection and you have to wrap your tattoo for days until the scabs dry. You can’t get it wet and it’s just too much. I had to change my wrap twice a day and can’t do too much for 1 week after each treatment. With excision, I’ll have 2 surgery/stiches and it’s DONE FOREVER…

From what I’ve read, good surgeons wouldn’t do excision in active areas like shoulder. and can only do it in areas where the skin are loose. Make sure you research the doctor/read review. You don’t want non-professionals cutting into you and risk anything.
