Question by GLgirl: How long does it take to fly to Hawaii from the state of Wisconsin?
I was just wondering how long it takes to fly from the Madison/Milwaukee area to Oahu, Hawaii. Me and my sister are going there, and are just curious about it. I really just want to know exactly how much time you are actually in the air. Thanks for the help!

7 1/2 hours (approximately)!
IT’S A LONG FLIGHT!
I EXPECT TO SEE PHOTOS OF YOU TWO IN BIKINIS WHEN YOU COME BACK!
Assuming departure from Milwaukee, shortest trip duration is 10 hrs, 44 min. That includes a 1hr, 10 min connection time. Total distance 4301 miles. Cost per adult round trip ticket $ 1535 US Airways.
Well I’ve flown from Nashville,TN to Hawai’i to visit my family and it took us about roughly 10 to 11 hours depending on your flight itinerary and also it depends on the air currents up there. Make sure to bring along your own travel pillows those pillows on the plane SUCK. Good Luck and Have Fun. OH Yeah don’t forget the sun screen you don’t want to go back to Wisconsin with a sun burn and it would definetly suck flying back home with sun burn.
I’m from the Chicago area originally, and I’ve never taken a direct flight. For us it’s usually ATA out of Midway or United out of O’Hare. It’s 4 hours to the West Coast (usually San Fran or LAX), then about 5 out to Honolulu. If you can get a flight to CA from Madison, it’s going to be about the same. Count on at least a 1.5 hr layover in CA if you don’t go non-stop. Sounds like a lot, but when it’s broken in 2 like that it’s not to bad. And the destination is SO worth it. See you soon!
5 hours from Las Vegas, and another 4 from Wisconsin. Take the red eye and save bucks. You can sleep during the flight. Highly advise taking Hawaiian Airlines; they have great deals and you’ll rack up the frequent flyer miles fast.
about 10 hours
Fly out of Chicago, it is much cheaper and you only have a short drive there. You can fly non-stop or have a short layover on the west coast. Airfare is somewhere around $ 600 – $ 650 each right now. Keep your departure days flexible and you will save money.
It is roughly 9 hours in the air.
According to my friend’s in Madison, it take approximately 10-12 hours give or take an hour. It is about 5 hours from Hawai’i to California so maybe another 5-7 hours commute to Madison depending on stop overs.
Expect to spend 9-10 hours flying. the most direct routes would be short, 1 hour, flight from Madison to Chicago or Minneapolis followed by a LONG flight of up to 9 hours from the mainland to Oahu. Other cities might allow you to break this a little more evenly. If you could fly from Wisconsin to the west coast – Los Angeles or San Francisco – and then to Oahu, you would have 2 flight of roughly 4.5 hours each.
