Question by calm_soul23: How do you find a homeless person in Hawaii?
I have been trying to find someone who has been homeless in Hawaii for serveral years. This person has (or had) a serious drug problem. Is there any location as to where I can find them besides the shelters, jails and churches?? What if this person passed away…where do I look? Would they be considered a Jane Doe if they had no type of information on them??
Thank you!

Hire a private investigator! That helped me with my adventures trying to find a certain person.

I have seen a lot living in the beaches and bathrooms..
you could try that..
As for him passing away, im not very sure of what you can do..
They may not even have information about them since they are homeless…you could tell the police if you are really concerned..
I have seen ads in the newspaper with a photo & message “Have you seen…?”
Try looking in Waikiki or any kind of park.
Waikiki, Beach park across from Alamoana, Downtown parks.
Take a picture and ask around.
Go on Ali’i Drive on the Big Island.
go to the beach and all the parks and talk to the bums cause almost all the homeless people know each other
Try the Hawaii Department of health on Punchbowl street. They will have a list of medical facilities for drug dependency including halfway houses. Also, if you have a picture and/or a name you can ask individuals along Hotel street in China town, a notorious drug and prostitute infested area. If the person is of Hawaiian descent try the Wai’anae coast, but be careful. Another great place is the Goodwill on Beretania and Pensacola. They have employment for recovering drug addicts. Good luck!
