Question by goldenyearsmining: Has anyone transported dogs to Hawaii and what was the experience like?
My husband and I would like to move to Hawaii, and we have 3 dogs that have never been anywhere but home. We don’t think they could handle the trip.

You have to have them in quaranteen for 6 months after you get there. If you don’t think they can make the trip, then think about how they would be if they had to be away from you for 6 months. I know I couldn’t do it.

a friend of mine just looked into this as she is moving to hawaii and all she needed was a chip to go in the dog and all medical history.
Any animal you take to Hawaii has to quarantined. You can visit your pets, but this is the law in Hawaii. No way around it. You shouldn’t leave your dogs, they are your family members. I don’t think the quarantine is 6 months, I think maybe 30 days, but you should find out the appropriate people to call on this, and ask your questions, your dogs are worth it!
