Question by Blue Eyes <3: Does anyone have any modeling advice for me?
Age: 14
Height: 5’3″
Weight: 128 lbs
Training: Little to None
Where: Northern AZ
I am an aspiring model/actress. I was just wondering if any has any tips for me?
My mom says I can’t pay for a school like Barbizon until it is somewhat guaranteed I will have work. This means I need help getting a little off the ground.
I’m very determined and I realize because of my height I can not be a runway model. I think because of my weight I can’t be a commercial print model either… Care to weigh in? If you agree, any suggestions to jump start my fat loss? (Im not fat. Just not super thin like a Hollister model and I work out a lot already.)
Any other stuff I should know about agencies, style, makeup, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Much Thanks!!

keep yourself looking natural unless you wanna be an alternative model.
try using natural looking makeup and keep your hair looking amazing

creepy..I’m 14 5’3″ 106 Ibs and I live in arizona.. !!
hmm.. I would start by getting some photos done and making a zed card. do some random auditions (there are plenty of modeling agencies in az) and they’ll def give you some good feedback whether you get in or not..
Honey you’re 5′ 3″!!!!!!!!! You must be at least 5′ 9″
You wont make it in the modeling industry.
By the way 128 is about 20 pounds overweight.(according to model agencies )
I’m sorry,but that’s the harsh truth.
It’s not about beauty anymore its about looking like tall sticks!!

don’t make stupid faces and poses like you are doing in your advatar.
You’d have to lose 30lb to make it as an actress and you’re 4″ too short to make the minimum height requirement for a model. and about 20lb too heavy for that, too.
Don’t bother with Barbizon. Did you watch the Dateline show?

Sorry to be harsh, but you are too short even for commercial modeling. The shortest commercial models are 5’6″ and that’s even unusual. At my old agency, the shortest commercial model on our books was 5’8″
It doesn’t cost anything to get into acting. Almost every high school has school plays. If you can’t even get a leading role in an amateur school play, there is no way you’d ever get cast at a professional audition. Also look around you to see if there is a community theater. Or if you are near a university, contact their theater arts department to see if they ever use child actors in productions. Get as much experience as you can because agents won’t even look at you until you have built up an impressive resume.
